Pall’s single-pass tangential flow filtration (SPTFF) technology provides a simple solution for continuous concentration and optimization of DSP steps. The Cadence™ Inline Concentrator (ILC) is a new holder-less SPTFF device with a retentate flow restrictor to achieve typical concentration factors of 2 to 4X. This application describes a case study that tests the ILC module with a highly viscous feed stream prior to a final UF/DF step. The study examines the feasibility of the ILC module to achieve ~4X inline volume reduction and identify processing conditions to maximize throughput.
