High Purity New England (HPNE), a supplier of single-use solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry, has launched its third facility.

The 80,000 square foot building is the Rhode Island company’s third such facility and represents a $10m investment. The facility will serve as the company’s Specialty Manufacturing and Distribution Center, increasing the firm’s manufacturing capacity substantially.

In addition to a new 8,000 square foot cleanroom space, the building offers a number of other features for the company, including a laboratory featuring four suites, an auditorium, a mock cleanroom for onboarding employees to practice gowning and S.O.P. training, and two floors of warehouse space for materials and finished goods.

“This new facility was strategically built to drive down industry lead times and was engineered to accelerate HPNE’s ability to provide their customers with single-use assemblies,” says the company.

“It marks a pivotal moment in HPNE’s history, bringing its total square footage to more than 130,000 square feet. The facility will also house additional office space, as well as areas where the company can provide community space to industry and local organizations.

“As the industry needs grow, HPNE continues to supply the biopharma and biotech industries with a range of innovative products, from drug discovery and development to fill-finish, including their flagship product, custom single-use assemblies, as well as pumps, mixers, and other single-use solutions. HPNE proudly supports numerous companies working on vaccines and therapeutics in the fight against COVID-19.”
