Research outlines the pace of growth in the UK’s biohub and how it will progress towards 2050.

The UK’s research centers have been at the heart of the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the University of Oxford’s vaccine quickly adopted by AstraZeneca, and Imperial College London’s effort not far behind in development.

A recent report examines how the link between London, Oxford, and Cambridge – otherwise known as the ‘golden triangle’ – will spur further growth in the life sciences industry, and what needs to be done to support it.

Particularly, the report suggests that expansion of research space will be crucial to future expansion, as the cities lag behind other biopharma hubs, such as in the US.
