MiraiBio releases software for Luminex platform

MiraiBio has released software for the statistical analysis of multiplexed data generated on its liquid array detection system, a platform that is designed for immunoassay, enzyme function, and receptor-ligand interaction applications, all common in drug research and development.

When manually analysing 96-well data that uses all 100 types of beads in graphic calculation software, even for simple experiments, all 100 types of standard curves must first be created before setting each density obscurity sample.

This process takes an enormous amount of time and effort, which MasterPlex QT software aims to cut.

The Luminex IS system is engineered for in-vitro diagnostic applications in clinical laboratories and the launch of this software adds to the technology's capabilities, in particular an extension to its large scale inter and intra-plate multiplexed data analysis.

In addition, multiple charting capabilities to visualise and compare data include multi-sample charts, 3-dimensional depth charts, and intensity maps.

This software package also provides the ability to generate weighted four and five parameter logistics standard curves, dose- response curves, and residual plots.

MasterPlex QT v2.5 software is available under single-user, multi-user, and concurrent network licensing models, which allows users to install the software on unlimited number of workstations in a local area network.

One of the main advantages of the software is its analysis of gene expression data produced using commercial assays, including QuantiGene Plex kits (GenoSpectra).

New operational functions such as "hot keys," "copy and paste" as well as enhanced data representation including "replicate graphs with error bars" have been added for easy navigating through large data sets.

Additional products for the Luminex 100, 200 and IS multiplex assay platforms include MasterPlex CT software for integrated system control and assay data collection and MasterPlex GT genotype and haplotype downstream analysis software.
